Today I propose a reinterpretation of the famous black forest cake ,
I have a bit upset following my tastes …
no the cherries but strawberries …
away the liquor and for the wet basis orange juice and strawberries …
the result was magnifique!
And now … LIGHT THEFIRES !
INGREDIENTS:
- FOR THE BASE:
- 100g of flour
75g of butter
- 140g of dark chocolate
- 50g of corn starch
- 6 eggs
- 50g sugar
FOR THE TOPPING :
- 2 cedtini of strawberries
- 2 juicy oranges
- 750ml of cream
- 2-3 tablespoons sugar -
- 60 g of powdered sugar
FOR CRANK :
- 100g dark chocolate curls
- Cream to taste
- Strawberries taste
WEAR THE APRON , WASH YOUR HANDS, BEGIN
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler
and when it is melted , add the butter ,
Melt mixing and let cool
- In a bowl, put the egg yolks ,
half the sugar and whip ,
once the mixture is foamy ,
add the chocolate and egg whites ( you’ll whites with the remaining sugar )
then add a little at a time , flour , corn baking powder, sifted together
- Pour the mixture into a greased and floured cake pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
Once the base is cooked, let it rest and cool and cut into three discs.
- After you have cleaned and washed the strawberries , cut into small pieces and put them in orange juice sweetened with 2 tablespoons of sugar
- After mounting the cream with the icing sugar,
Take the first disc , put it on a plate and moisten with orange juice and strawberries, and add the strawberries over the cream,
- Repeat the procedure
and after putting the last disc using a spatula then cover the cake with cream ,
Take the chocolate curls and let them join around the edge …
and then unleash your fantasy for decoration !
Et voila … strawberries and chocolate go perfectly in this spectacular cake!
