Checkmate the king biscuits

These cookies are delicious and fun to see … but mostly good, good, very good! Many of you might already know but since they’re so fast to prepare they can be a nice idea for a sweet snack!

And now … LIGHT THE FIRES!

INGREDIENTS FOR 20 BISCUITS :

- 150g butter

- 70g caster sugar

- 200g flour

- A teaspoon of yeast

- A pinch of salt

- 20g cocoa powder

- A pinch of cinnamon and chopped hazelnuts if you like

WEAR THE APRON, WASH YOUR HANDS…LET’S GET STARTED!

- In a bowl, mix the melted butter with the caster sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.

- Divide the dough into two parts, but first if you want, add a pinch of cinnamon and finely chopped hazelnuts. In the second part add the cocoa.

- Form two balls, wrap them with plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

- Now form the rolls of the two doughs and place alternating.

- Usually I form three layers of rolls each consisting of four rows, alternating the two doughs.

- When you join the rolls, do not forget to brush them with egg white.

- Put back in the fridge to rest for a few minutes.

- Cut the dough into slices and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

-Put in the preheat oven and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes, let cool.
