Waldorf salad

This unique salad was invented by a famous maitre
the equally famous hotel
Waldorf Astoria:
Oscar Tschirky, we can say that
had an
intuition really brilliant,
to combine ingredients such as
apple, celery and mayonnaise,
which are major.
There are several variations of this
salad that is a rich
and particular dish.
For those with limited time and want to prepare a light  and delicious snack is ideal.

Recommended wine:
Greek di Tufo “Yellow d’Arles” Quintodecimo 2013
we are talking about a superior wine,
a magical wine, a real parade of aromas and flavors.
A full wine, intense and balanced.

And now … LIGHT THE FIRES!

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 medium celeriac

-1 Head of lettuce

- A generous handful of nuts (about 50 g)

-2 Tablespoons lemon juice

- A Fuji apple (my favorite but it’s good enough Pippin)

-Maionese Qb

-salt And pepper to taste

-1 Tablespoon of yogurt

WEAR THE APRON, WASH YOUR HANDS, BEGIN!

After peeled celeriac, wash and cut into julienne,
put it in salted water for about 2 minutes,
drain well and dry with a clean cloth.
Peel the apple and cut into cubes,
place in a bowl and season with lemon,
by doing so the apple does not become dark.
In a bowl, stir together the mayonnaise and yogurt,
add salt and white pepper,
at this point you can add the celery root, apple,
a few leaves of lettuce and walnuts
chopped.
