continues with a dramatic film of 1960 by Antonio Pietrangeli:
ADUA AND COMPANIONS, a stellar cast, Marcello Mastroianni, Simone Signoret, Sandra Milo.
Hot topic in the 60s … we talk about the abolition of prostitution and brothels Act (Merlin).
It ‘s the story of four girls who after the closure of brothels, are, if I may say so, without a job and
decide to open a restaurant on the outskirts of Rome to try to live by honest work.
They are helped, for all the bureaucratic problems from a shady character,
certain Ercoli, who wanted to ensure that the restaurant is just a cover
for a new home appointments.
The agreement provided for his participation in the company and
that after an initial period of activity blameless, the girls started again to “do life.”
Unexpectedly, business thrive and girls savor a serenity never known,
the possibility of having a reisenrimento in society will not keep the covenant with Ercoli,
refusing to return to prostitution.
This change in attitude will irritate the man who will close the restaurant,
the hopes of a rehabilitation fade and the girls will also be reported.
Now disappointed, destroy the restaurant and returned with immense sadness on the sidewalk.
Of course, the film is a searing hardness, the impossibility of restoring the human dignity, denied any chance to those who want to re-emerge,
a sad history about  women … great Simone Signoret!

PASTA WITH SARDE:

INGREDIENTS:

-400g Of macaroni

-600 G of fresh sardines boned than the head and tail

-1 onion

- 50g of raisins rehydrated

-50g Pine nuts

-4 Bunches of wild fennel

-Oil Evo qb

-1 Teaspoon of saffron

- Salt and pepper to taste

-80g Of toasted breadcrumbs

Clean the fennel, boil, drain and chop, keeping aside the cooking water.
Pour the oil in a pan and melt the onion over low heat,
add raisins and pine nuts, fennel and sardines.
Proceed with chopping cooking sardines, finish the sauce with saffron dissolved
in warm water.
Boil the pasta in the water of fennel,
drain and mix it with the sauce , put the toasted breadcrumbs,
someone add half a teaspoon of sugar to toasted bread crumbs.
The pasta should be served warm but also cool is divine.

Recommended wine:
Bianco Alcamo Doc, a nice white with a sour note inviting
