Arepas white,red and green

SONY DSC

Arepas, are some delicious
scones from South America
made with white cornmeal.
You can enrich the dough with cheese,
you can fill according to
your tastes,
I have italianised them
with tomatoes, cheese first salt
and rocket salad, a little olive oil … and here are
delicious arepas Italian!

Recommended wine:

Aglianico Rosato Frizzante Organic,
a wine produced in the province of Salerno
that matches perfectly with these
scones.

AND NOW … LIGHT THE FIRES!

INGREDIENTS:

-1 Cup e1 / 2 of lukewarm water

-1 Teaspoon salt

-2 Tablespoons olive oil

-2 Cups of white maize flour

-50g Of grated provolone

-100g Cheese primosale

-Basilico Fresh taste

-12 Plum tomatoes

PUT ON THE APRON, WASH YOUR HANDS, BEGIN!

In a bowl, put the cornmeal, salt
and the grated cheese,
gradually add the warm water mixing,
until you get a soft dough.
Let rest for about 10 minutes,
now formed some
little scones.
Heat a nonstick pan with a little olive oil
Let them cook about 4 minutes on each side,
after which transfer them on
the baking tray lined with baking paper and
put them in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
Once ready, you can fill with meat, with cold cuts,
or as I did with cheese tomatoes and arugula.
